A big part of the GLOW's attraction is to let visitors interact with the installations so that imagination can help propel interpretation. Spotlights dramatize the size and texture of the installation. It doesn't matter whether you're inside or outside for the this artist's creation because everyone is part of the picture. GLOW featured a number of installations that invited visitors to view, interact and engage with art in a non traditional setting. A trio, aglow in their own light, revel in the evening's festivities. One installation gets photo bombed by a group of self-lit art patrons. A pair of pixies protected by jellyfish get an early start on art appreciation. GLOW is a one-night festival of light, art and creativity that draws more than 100,000 visitors to Santa Monica, CA once every couple of years.
